Of all the reasons homeowners want water features in their yard, hearing the peaceful sound of running water is the most popular. In this waterscape

the homeowners added waterfalls, and streams to their garden. Coming over the back retaining wall the first waterfall is clearly the largest. I can imagine the sound the water is making hitting the second pool below.

That is quite a water feature, clearly the homeowners wanted to hear more than a trickle of water  in a stream. With a sheer drop into the pool below it’s producing a steady sound of crashing water.

A smaller waterfall from the pool leads down to a stream wrapping around the sitting area on the patio. This is my ideal type of waterscape, I not only want to see moving water but hear it falling into a pool and running down a fast moving stream.
